YEARS AGO...when I played highschool baseball...I remember I would get real nervous...not when I was up to bat...not when I was catching a ball that was hit to me...but when I was on deck...waiting in anticipation. Would I do ok...would I be productive...or embarassed?
Well the "In Jesus Name" Latvia mission team is on deck! My journey begins this Thursday evening as Kristen and I drive to Dallas to spend the night with Bruce. We will then leave EARLY Friday morning for Houston Intercontinental (much cheaper flights!), where we will team up with Craig & Sue. God has put together another awesome team this year...I am so excited!
Your prayers are so appreciated! Right now pray that we will remember everything (including tickets...uh, Kevin), traveling grace, time alone with God, and His Spirit to move in us and through us so that God will be glorified! Events to pray for while we are there: Worship services at Talsi Baptist (9/13 & 20), afternoon teen ministry, 6 Secrets Marriage Conference, Gypsy village eye clinic, Laucienes Retirement ministry, Texas BBQ & Rodeo outreach.
Really just wanted to work on my blogging skills...couldn't remember my username or password...so don't expect too much! Hopefully I will figure out how to download photos so you can see what God is doing. Thank you again for your love, prayers, and support!

ReplyDeleteI really did read this post on the day it was written, but I feel led to respond at this moment to let you know I am praying for you this morning. I thank God for a friend, prayer partner, and fellow servant like you. I know you must be weary after six days of mission work, but I know God will give you strength to finish your task there. I am praying for your opportunities today: Talsi Christian School, Retirement Center, Teen Ministry, and the eye clinic at the Gypsy Village. Give 'em Jesus today!
